Sneaky Fox & Friends Presents: Beyond Worlds

Sneaky Fox Records presents Beyond Worlds on February 21, bringing together artists from Yucca Valley, the Bay Area, and San Diego for a night of live performance, vinyl, and immersive lighting inside Sneaky Fox Records & Tailored Hair.

Located in Makers Quarter, part of the East Village neighborhood in downtown San Diego, Tailored Hair has spent the past 13 years building community and creative life in the area. In 2025, founder Lizzy Broughton expanded that vision by opening Sneaky Fox Records inside the barbershop, creating a space  dedicated to listening, performance, and creative exchange. Since then, the space has hosted world-class DJs and producers such as Moderator, Nick at Nite, mae or mae not, and more.

This Saturday, Sneaky Fox Records – Beyond Worlds unfolds as a continuous arc through sound, space, and light. The evening opens with Lizzy Broughton alongside renowned harpist Chiara Capobianco, grounding the room with a listening session featuring selections pulled from Cut Chemist’s personal crates, records Lizzy hand selected alongside the artist over the past several months. Played through a custom Wrensilva console built in nearby Barrio Logan, this opening establishes the point of arrival and sets the tone for the journey ahead.

From there, Landroid, the Yucca Valley project led by the owners of Mojave Gold, begins the ascent. Their live set moves through ambient rock, dream pop, and expansive instrumental textures, creating a sense of drifting beyond the familiar.

Mike and Yuki Irons of Nishikaze City Nights carry the evening further through deep selections from Japanese vinyl collections, blending city pop, rare grooves, ambient electronics, and late night soul. Their set marks the crossing point, where sound reshapes the atmosphere and transports the room into another  space.

The night closes with The Architect, the Bay Area producer and foundational figure in Stones Throw  Records and West Coast hip hop. Following the recent 93 ’Til Infinity 30th Anniversary World Tour with Souls of Mischief, and ahead of his new Stones Throw release on February 27, he delivers his Beat Show live with drum machines, samplers, and turntables. His closing set completes the arc and brings the room back together in shared presence.

Lighting Architect Grant Jensen will shape the visual environment through four distinct lighting chapters, each aligned with the progression of the evening from arrival, to ascent, to crossing, and return. His lighting design deepens the immersive experience and reinforces the movement between worlds.

Guests are encouraged to experience the full arc from beginning to end. Each performance builds on the one before it, creating a shared journey shaped by sound, space, and community.
