Eddie Atom - “Worried Optimist” & “Vision in the Flames”

Eddie Atom is an L.A.-based artist that we’ve been a fan of for years now. He always finds a very unique and inventive way of blurring genres, from indie to alternative to pop and R&B - utilizing both analogue and electronic sounds - and he’s pulled it off again with a pair of smooth recent singles “Vision in the Flames” and “Worried Optimist.”

“Vision in the Flames” is a hypnotic instrumental track featuring shimmering synths, bluesy guitar work, and groovy rhythms all fastened together in a jam-like fashion. The song just kinda simmers and warbles its way into your subconscious with its mixture of sounds and moods.

“Worried Optimist,” meanwhile, is a loungy, languid instrumental mind-melter, with woozy guitars, drums, and synths slithering in tandem for three-and-a-half hypnotizing minutes. Both tracks have been in our constant rotation so far in 2025. Feel free to kick back and give them a spin below.
