Fuck Money - “Strain"
Experimental punk unit Fuck Money emerged from the Austin, Texas underground scene a few years ago as a collective scream against “capitalism, conformity, and creative stagnation.” Comprised of members TaSzlin Trébuchet (vocals) Alton Jenkins (drums), Jeremy Humphries (bass guitar) and new guitarist Chase Dungan, the group conjures a riotous blend of hardcore, noise, and industrial chaos; staticky basslines, primal screams, shredding guitars, surprising melodies, and rapid-fire rhythms.
Now, Fuck Money has released the pummeling new single “Strain,” off their forthcoming, self-titled debut LP that arrives on August 15 via venerated San Diego-based heavy music label Three One G. “Strain” combines scorching guitar riffs, Trébuchet’s throat-shattering vocals, and percussion and rhythms that hit with machine gun pace and force. It’s a feral, unpredictable, and deeply cathartic release - much like the power of the group’s live shows. Self titled promises to match that energy and more.
