Winnabego - “Made Of”

Winnabego is a rising indie rock group from Oceanside comprised of Aidan Zerbini (guitar/vocals), Keshaun Slevinsky (drums), Canaan Slevinsky (bass) and Madi Coe (synths). We’ve been quite impressed with their body of work to date - a sound that combines stunning indie instrumentation with hypnotic and catchy pop melodies and songwriting. Their latest track “Made Of” has been in our constant rotation since dropping a couple weeks ago; we simply can’t get it out of our heads.

Here, Aidan’s soothing vocals steer the ship over pulsating basslines and softly reverb-washed guitar riffs, conjuring dreamy, poignant soundscapes that’ll have you swaying and singing along from start-to-finish. Longing lyricism - full of tinges of melancholy and regret and tackling themes of addiction - really rise to the surface on the track’s anthemic chorus. Those celestial synth touches also give it a dream-like quality. All in all, it’s a beautiful fusion of indie, pop rock, dream pop/shoegaze, and another sign of Winnabego’s potential for big things.
